OBILNINY
Jako obilniny použijte pšenici, dál oves, a pokud se rozhodnete dát myši pestrý výběr, poslouží i ječmen, proso a žito. Dejte myším i trochu pšeničných klíčků. Lze použít i kukuřice, ale ta je na myší zoubky někdy až příliš tvrdá.
OLEJNATÁ SEMENA
Myši nesmí mít moc olejnatých semen, protože způsobují měknutí a snadné lámání kostí, ale nesmí jich mít ani málo. Nejlepší je len a konopí.
ZELENÁ STRAVA
Jde o ovoce a zeleninu. Myši nejvíce chutná okurka, potom mrkev, hlávkový salát, ledový salát, petržel a jablka. Zelené krmení je zdrojem hlavně vitaminu C. Myš nesmí dostat zelené stravy příliš moc najednou, ale každý den alespoň kousek. Pokud máte možnost utrhnout čerstvé pampeliškové listy, myš je také ocení.
ŽIVOČIŠNÁ STRAVA
I když je myš převážně býložravec, dá si i kousek natvrdo uvařeného vejce, nebo kousek hovězího masa. Maso nesmí být příliš kořeněné a slané, to by mohla myš onemocnět. Také je vhodné koupit moučné červy nebo cvrčky. Sýr není pro myši moc zdravý.
MLSÁNÍ
Myším nejvíce chutnají piškoty. Pokud by jich ale snědla moc, mohla by až moc ztloustnout. Dále tvrdé pečivo, které je vhodné na zuby. Můžete jí dát ořechy, kornfleksy, ovesné vločky nebo kousek musli tyčinky.
OVOCE
Některé ovoce se nepočítá mezi zelenou stravu. Myš ráda ochutná jahody, banán, oloupané hroznové víno fnebo fíky (čerstvé i sušené).
KOUPENÉ SMĚSI
Směsi koupené v obchodě obsahují všechny důležité složky, kromě ovoce s zeleniny. Tu k nim musíte dodat.
DÁVKOVÁNÍ
Jedné myši na den vystačí polévková lžíce krmení. Pokud jej všechno sní, přidejte ještě cca půlku lžíce.
MÍCHÁNÍ VLASTNÍ SMĚSI
Pokud nemáte koupenou směs, můžete si ji namíchat sami. Musíte ale smíchat přiměřené množství každého druhu jídla. Doporučuji míchat do misky. Po zakrytí dna pšenici, na ni oves a další obilniny, na zakrytí půlky dna rýže, nakrájené dva až čtyři piškoty (podle velikosti misky), jednu až dvě lžíce olejnatých semen, ořechy, nasekané syrové těstoviny, tvrdý chleba nakrájený na kostky.
